Dr. Dickson Thom brings over 50 years of clinical and academic experience to this intensive — and is one of the most credentialed naturopathic physicians in North America.
He holds two Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine degrees — from the Ontario College of Naturopathic Medicine and the National College of Naturopathic Medicine in Portland, Oregon — as well as a post-doctoral degree from the University of Toronto Faculty of Dentistry. Who is this course for?

Do I need to already own BIA or NerveExpress equipment?
You must have both devices before the course begins — because this is not an information course. It is an application course. You will be working with real data from day one, which means you need your tools in hand.

I already use diagnostic tools in my practice. Is this still relevant for me?
Yes — and it may be the most valuable training you've done with those tools. Most practitioners who come to this course already use HRV or BIA in some form. What they leave with is the clinical map to interpret the data together, sequence protocols correctly, and triage clients with a level of precision they didn't have before. Knowing how to read the numbers is one thing. Knowing what to do next is everything.
How quickly can I start using this in my practice after the course?
Immediately. That is the point. Because you arrive with your devices already in hand, there is no setup delay after the training ends. Can I bring a staff member or team member with me?
Yes — and we strongly encourage it. Many practitioners prefer to have a trained team member run the assessments while they focus on interpreting the results and guiding the client conversation. That is a smart way to work.
Your registration includes one additional seat for a staff member — a front desk coordinator, clinic assistant, or technician — at no extra cost. They will learn how to properly administer both the BIA and NerveExpress assessments so that by the time you return to your practice, your entire intake process is ready to go.
